About Create Your Jewish Legacy
Create Your Jewish Legacy (CYJL) is an initiative of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati to assist our local agencies and congregations in building their endowment funds, to ensure their long-term stability and sustainability. A team of professionals and volunteers from each of twelve participating organizations receive training and materials to implement a legacy gift (endowment) program, for the benefit of their organization and the community as a whole. CYJL is modeled on a successful national program. The Legacy Flame is a unique, legacy donor public recognition exhibit, located in the Mayerson JCC. Combined with a beautiful sculpture, this state of the art, egalitarian, community-wide exhibit honors legacy donors with a donor page in an interactive touchscreen database, including written statements, photographs, and video interviews, where donors tell their stories about why they made a legacy commitment to our local Jewish community
